From the moment you step inside Couture Threads, our goal is to put you at ease and make your wedding gown shopping an experience that you will truly enjoy. A Bridal Stylist will tend to your every need and answer any questions you have.
Your experience at Couture Threads begins with a consultation with your Bridal Stylist along with light refreshments. We will sit down with you and learn about you and your wedding day. This consultation allows us to get a feel for your personal style and what you have envisioned for your wedding — all enabling us to serve you better. Next, you will have the opportunity to browse our extensive bridal gallery and begin making your selections. You are then given a spacious, private fitting room complete with a robe and an elegant viewing room with ample seating area for your special guests. It is here that we will create your entire look, starting with your gown and then adding the finishing details — the crinoline, veil, headpiece and jewellery.
Since each gown is custom made for every individual bride, you have the freedom to personalize your dress. Whether it is the colour of the dress, the length of the train, the shape of the neckline or adding straps — your gown is custom ordered for you. The process of creating your couture gown can take up to four to six months and we like to allow an additional four to six weeks for your fittings.
Once you have found your dress, now is the time to begin looking for the bridal attendant and flower girl dresses that complement your overall look and style of your wedding. Like your gown, these dresses may take four to six months to be made and altered. You also need to allow enough time to collect all of your bridal party's measurements and any additional shipping time for any out-of-town attendants.
Couture Threads offers a wonderful selection of gowns and dresses suitable for “Mother of Bride or Groom”, as well as Event Dressing. These elegant and figure-flattering collections coordinate effortlessly with the bridal party and are available in true, ready-to-wear sizes 0 - 28. Crafted from sumptuous fabrics in a mix of classic shades and fresh, of-the-moment colours, the gowns may be custom-ordered based on your specific requirements or if in stock, are available for immediate purchase.
A complimentary consultation is available with our in-house Bridal Hair Stylist to help you coordinate your total look — from your gown and veil through to your hair style, tiara and bridal jewellery.
